Monica Bellucci excited to meet Shah Rukh Khan on her visit for the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival with Star
Globally known Italian actress Monica Bellucci will head to Mumbai in October to be a part of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. The beautiful actor met noted journalist Anupama Chopra for an interview wherein she admitted that she is excited to meet Shah Rukh Khan this time.
Monica told that the first Bollywood film that she saw was SRK’s film Devdas and also added that she wants to do a Bollywood film. Talking about Bollywood film, she also said that she liked Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen, Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly and Neeraj Ghaywan’s Masaan.
Bellucci has worked with leading directors like Giuseppe Tornatore, Emir Kusturica, Francis Ford Coppola, Sam Mendes, Mel Gibson, Gasper Noe. When asked about the experience, she said that each director is talented and has his or her own different way of portraying a story.
Bellucci also believes that one should not only count one factor that’s beauty as it doesn’t go really far. Talking about her children, the actress said that her children bought her some serenity and helped her to focus on what really matters in life.
In one of her earlier interviews, she had said, “I’m from a country where women have to fight for their rights. Years ago, even if a woman was killed by her husband, he would get away with it as it was considered a crime of passion. And if you go to the south of Italy, one’s virginity is still a taboo subject.”
