Zac Efron Called This His Worst On-Set Kissing Scene

To start his career, Kay Panabaker and Ashley Tisdale didn't have the greatest reviews about Zac Efron's kissing skills.

Kissing in a film can be a memorable experience for an actor or actress. Especially when that kiss turns out to be your first. Kirsten Dunst had a memorable experience, locking lips with Brad Pitt for her first. However, not everyone is as lucky.

Zac Efron for example had a first on-screen he wants to completely forget about. Kissing scenes aren’t always great, even the best in the business like Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon weren’t all that thrilled about their kiss.

Throughout this article, we’ll take a look at Efron’s first kiss and how it all went south. In addition, we’ll also highlight another Disney star that didn’t have the best things to say about her kiss alongside the Hollywood megastar.

It Isn’t The First Time Film Stars Have A Tough Time During A Kissing Scene

As fans, we think that kissing a celeb on-set is something that dreams are made of… However, what fans don’t realize, is in the back of the kissing scene, an entire crew is watching what is taking place.

Heck at times, the partners of the celebs are also there… Adam Sandler’s wife used to give him tips on how to improve his kissing scenes while the moment was taking place…

Even Hollywood’s elite like Jennifer Lawrence got completely flustered during her kissing scene alongside Chris Pratt, so much so that she got a little too intoxicated to try and relieve the nerves.

“I got really, really drunk,” she explained. “But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know.’ And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach.”

Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron isn’t immune to this either. In fact, his worst kiss took place at the start of his career. To make matters that much worse, it was his first on-screen kiss.

Zac Efron Ruined His Kiss With Kay Panabaker Because Of His Lunch Selection While Filming ‘Summerland’

It is a dream for so many out there to kiss Zac Efron. However, as the actor revealed on ‘The Graham Norton Show’, that wasn’t necessarily true for his ‘Summerland’ co-star at the start of his career.

According to the star, he got a little too excited with the food selection during the lunch hour, which featured a variety of fish. Co-star Kay Panabaker got the worst of it when it was time to lock lips later that day.

“I was very nervous. We went in for the kiss. I got up this close. I shut my eyes. I’m ready to go in and nothing happens. I’m going further and nothing’s happening. I’m getting further and further, thinking eventually we’re going to touch. And then I hear, ‘Oh my gosh, did you have salmon for lunch? Seriously?’”

Efron stated that he learned from the ordeal and from that point on, he always carried a toothbrush with him, wherever he went.

Well. unfortunately for Efron, it turns out, that wasn’t his only bad kiss throughout his career. According to a Disney co-star, the two would also share an awkward exchange…

According To Ashley Tisdale, Their Kiss Wasn’t Any Better Either

This particular kiss took place on ‘The Suite Life of Zach and Cody.’ According to Marie Claire, it turned out to be awkward for a couple of reasons. For one, the two stars had a brother and sister-like relationship, which made the scene that much more awkward to film.

“I had to kiss Zac Efron on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, and it’s the worst because I’m so close to him and he’s like my brother,” she said.

As if that wasn’t hard enough, Tisdale was none too pleased with Efron’s approach during the scene, which featured the star using his tongue as well…

“At the time, he was used to acting on Warner Bros, which is The CW, and we were on Disney Channel, and he tried kissing me with his tongue, and I was like, ‘Get away from me!’ I closed my mouth so fast. I was like, ‘This is Disney Channel! We don’t kiss like that on Disney Channel!’”

Efron might’ve been a little too excited, forgetting that they were on a PG network. In his defense, he was still extremely young at that point. In truth, he likely learned a lot from these two experiences.
