Malena is one of my favorite Italian movies that is directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. Monica Bellucci plays Malena Scordia, who is the most beautiful woman in a village in Sicily called Castelcuto. The village men make a legend out of Malena and an icon of erotic beauty. For the village’s women, she is the center of envy and criticism. I love Monica Bellucci in Malena and her Southern Italian style in the 40s (during the second war world). Dolce and Gabbana still use this Sicilian lifestyle in their collections.
