Monica Bellucci has had an illustrious career as a model and actress
James Bond is known the world over for his daring antics, taking on the world’s most evil men in the name of Queen and country.
Currently portrayed by Daniel Craig, Bond travels all over the world, confronting his enemies and seducing beautiful women along the way.
In the film Spectre, Craig’s fourth film as 007, Bond confronts the terrorist ring known as Spectre, who are responsible for a terrorist bombing plot in Mexico.
Killing the terrorist responsible for the plot, Marco Sciarra, Bond travels to Rome for his funeral, where he meets and seduces his widow Lucia Sciarra, played by Monica Belluci.
Sceptre is far from Belluci’s first role on screen, having also starred in the sci-fi films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, amongst many others, and having cultivated an expansive career as a model for fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana and Dior.
Born in Italy, Monica, 57, has also led an interesting life, and was at one point married to the well-known French actor Vincent Cassel.
Monica and Vincent met on the set of the French-language film L’Appartement in 1996 and married three years later in 1999.
The couple have two daughters, Deva, 17, and Leonie, 11 and divorced in 2013 after fourteen years of marriage.
Vincent, 55, has had an illustrious acting career himself, appearing in a number of blockbuster films.
Most notably, he starred alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney in two of the Ocean’s film franchise: Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, where he played the role of Baron Francois Toulour.
Toulour serves as Danny Ocean’s chief antagonist in the films, challenging him to a contest to see who could steal the famous Faberge Coronation Egg.
Danny, played by George Clooney, tricked Toulour into stealing a fake Faberge Egg, thereby winning the competition.
In the Ocean’s films, Brad Pitt plays Rusty Ryan, Danny’s right-hand man and fellow gangster.
More recently, Vincent played a prominent role in the sci-fi series Westworld, where he portrayed Engerraund Serac, the creator of the strategic planning artificial intelligence system Rehoboam which threatens to wreak havoc on the world.
Spectre will be shown tonight at 9pm on ITV.
