The Mandalorian Season 3: Release date, cast and trailer

Star Wars fans immediately fell in love with ‘The Mandalorian’ and seasons one and two brought action, drama and emotion to the small screen. Now, Star Wars fans are wondering if and when a third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ will be coming out.

Here, we go through all you need to know about the plans for a third season and what the storyline could be. And, most importantly, if Baby Yoda will be back.

Will there be a third season of ‘The Mandalorian’?

Yes, a third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ is in the works. Filming began in October of 2021, although the producers had to wait for other productions such as ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ to be filmed first.

The coronavirus pandemic hasn’t actually slowed filming, since so many of the characters are wearing masks or are puppets.

Who will be in the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’? Will Baby Yoda be back?

Pedro Pascal will return to star as Din Djarin and Jon Favreau has confirmed that the focus will remain on Din Djarin and not on Boba Fett.

As for the other cast members, it remains to be seen exactly which actors and characters will form the story. That’s because the plot details remain vague. But, Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, says he expects to have an even bigger role.

Baby Yoda, officially called Grogu, left with Luke Skywalker at the end of the last season. His role might not be as major this time around, but an appearance or two should be expected.

Is there a trailer already for ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3?

With filming having only just started, there is no trailer yet for the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’. It could yet be some time before we get one.

What is ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 release date?

The new season is expected to come out in 2022, although fans shouldn’t expect it in the early part of the year.

There have been several other Star Wars announcements recently, but no official dates about ‘The Mandalorian’ yet.
