The Mandalorian’s Frog Lady & Armorer Actors Pose with The Emperor’s Throne

The two actors returning in season 3 take a fun candid shot on a familiar piece of Star Wars furniture while teasing a disturbance in the Force.

In an amusing behind-the-scenes photo, The Mandalorian’s Frog Lady and Armorer actors pose for a candid shot with Emperor Palpatine’s throne. The Mandalorian continues to be Disney+’s flagship series after an exciting season 2 ended with the return of Luke Skywalker and some necessary character development for Din Djarin, Grogu, and Bo-Katan. The titular Mandalorian and his young Jedi trainee later appeared in The Book of Boba Fett, where their character arcs converged once again, and Grogu returned to Djarin’s side.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is the next live-action Star Wars show coming out, but The Mandalorian season 3 is on its way as well. While it’s unclear where the story will go, Djarin seems set on becoming the leader of Mandalore (despite breaking the Mandalorian creed by removing his helmet). He will also have to handle the consequences of Grogu abandoning his Jedi training after choosing the chainmail crafted by the Armorer over a lightsaber. With The Mandalorian season 3 filming completed, several actors confirmed their return for the next season.

Two stars returning for season 3 include Emily Swallow, who played the Armorer in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and Misty Rosas, who played Kuill and the Frog Lady. Rosas, recently posted a candid photo on Instagram of herself and Swallow sitting on Emperor Palpatine’s throne. Check out the image below:

Based on the post’s comments and Rosas’ location, it seems like this photo was taken at the Star Wars Identities exhibit at the ODYSSEUM museum in Cologne, Germany. Rosas confirmed her return for The Mandalorian season 3, but with Kuiil deceased and the Frog Lady’s arc seemingly wrapped up, the experienced suit actor is likely returning as a new character. The Armorer is also a series regular, so it is not surprising to see Swallow hanging out with cast members. Rosas was clearly enjoying herself during her museum visit, making an entertaining Star Wars reference in the caption to describe how she felt sitting in Palpatine’s throne.

It’s fun to see these two actors enjoying their time together and celebrating Star Wars, illustrating the people who work on the shows and movies are big fans of the property, just like general audiences. It’ll be interesting to see if Rosas or Swallow share any other photos from their museum visit, perhaps posing with even more classic Star Wars iconography. They clearly have a passion for the franchise and are enthusiastic to share that interest with fans. In the meantime, it will a while before audiences find out how they fit into The Mandalorian season 3.
