Think you can finish these lines of advice Hawkeye gives Radar after he receives a ‘Dear John’ record?

Would you take this advice from Captain Pierce?

Radar O’Reilly is bashful, awkward and quiet, and we wouldn’t have him any other way.

His keen ability to hear the helicopters before yelling “here they come” is a huge asset to the 4077th on M*A*S*H. Radar has doubts about himself but thankfully his buddies Hawkeye Pierce and Trapper John are there to pull him out of whatever dump that is keeping him down.

They tried giving Radar some pointers during the season one episode “Love Story,” after his fiancé sent him a “Dear John” record, terminating their relationship.

They have little luck, but try to offer some advice after the new Lieutenant nurse, Louise Anderson, arrives and peaks the interest of Radar.

Can you remember what not-so-sound advice Hawkeye gives Corporal O’Reilly? Try to fill in the blanks to Hawkeye’s lines below!

    1. After Radar says he “struck out in the World Series of love,” Hawkeye says, “Radar, just ____, don’t try to write.”
    2. Radar asks what he should do if Lt. Anderson asks him a question about a number of smart topics. Hawkeye says, “you look at her and say ‘that’s highly ______.'” Fill in the missing word.
    3. Then Hawkeye says to try another phrase instead. “I consider that ______ thinking.”
  1. If Lt. Anderson brings up her music, Hawkeye says, “If she brings up Bach you just smile and you say _____”
  2. How does Hawkeye suggest Radar look if Lt. Anderson throws out names like Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich?
  3. If Lt. Anderson asks Radar what type music he likes, Hawkeye says he should say, “Well, I’m ______”
  4. When Radar asks, “Can I say that to a girl I hardly know,” what does Hawkeye say?
