The Everybody Loves Raymond cast are getting back together 15 years after the show came to an end.
The stars of the classic CBS sitcom – including Patricia Heaton and Brad Garrett – have taken part in a virtual reunion to honour their late co-star Peter Boyle (who played Frank Barone on the show).
The gang will be raising money for charity with the reunion as they come together to celebrate the show, with the event benefitting the Peter Boyle Research Fund of The International Myeloma Foundation.
Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Monica Horan and Raymond co-creator and Executive Producer Phil Rosenthal will all participate in a 90-minute event.
The reunion will include table readings of popular scenes from the series as the cast look back at their time together making the show.
Boyle died in 2006 after a four-year battle with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow.
The Peter Boyle Research Fund has supported the IMF’s research programs since the fund’s inception in 2007.
Fans have remained loyal to the iconic series after its nine-season run became an even bigger hit in syndication.
And due to the fact both Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts have since died (in 2006 and 2016, respectively), the show has never been in talks for a reboot.
Speaking about why the cast never toy with the idea, Romano told Today: ‘We’ve kind of agreed that that probably will never, not probably, it won’t happen with us.
‘We’re missing Peter, we’re missing Doris, we’re missing the crux of the show. This is kind of as close as it’ll get to us performing again, the show.’
