‘Yellowstone’ Sets Up Spin-Off Series ‘6666’ in Season 4 Episode 3

We just finished watching Yellowstone Season 4, Episode 3, and boy do we have some big news for all of you fans out there. Yellowstone is setting the stage for its upcoming spin-off series 6666.

If you need to catch up on what happened in the most recent episode of Yellowstone, we just recently put out a recap. You can check that out by clicking here.

But if you are all caught up, you are probably as excited as we are about what we learned. Season 4, Episode 3 of Yellowstone titled, “All I See Is You,” aired on Sunday evening on Paramount Network. It introduced us to some of the characters that we will see in 6666.

‘Yellowstone’ Actor Jefferson White Will Be in ‘6666’

One of the characters we know we will see in 6666 is Jefferson White. In Yellowstone, White plays Jimmy Hurdstrom, a ranch hand at the Dutton family ranch. Prior to working for John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner), Jimmy was always finding ways to get into trouble.

The most recent episode of the show actually focuses quite a lot on Jimmy Hurdstrom as he gets ready to depart the ranch. He is still getting back to full strength after suffering a serious barrel racing injury at the end of Season 3. However, John Dutton has decided to send Jimmy to another ranch to work for a while. He explained to him that it’s “not a punishment. It’s an opportunity.”

And what ranch is Jimmy Hurdstrom going to? You guessed — the Four Sixes Ranch in North Texas. That will be the location of where the Yellowstone spin-off 6666 will take place.

Where Does the New Spin-Off Get Its Name?

Earlier this year in May, Yellowstone and 6666 creator Taylor Sheridan purchased the Four Sixes Ranch. Sitting on approximately 266,255 acres in Texas, it is one of the biggest ranches in all of the country. The name of the show clearly derives from the name of the ranch — “Four Sixes.”

The high-profile ranch is known for producing some of the very best cattle in the United States. Not just that, but it has also been in operation for well over an astounding 100 years. However, after a death in the family, the ranch went up for sale in 2020. That’s when the creator of Yellowstone took notice.

Earlier in the year, officials for Yellowstone announced that they were planning a spinoff series called 6666. We still don’t know everything about the show but we do know that some of the Yellowstone characters will make appearances in the new spin-off. It seems like Jefferson White’s Jimmy Hurdstrom will be one of the characters we get to see first.
