On This Day: Loni Anderson Guest-Stars on ‘Three’s Company’ as Jack’s Ex-Girlfriend in 1978

Actress Loni Anderson plays Jack’s old flame in this hilarious episode of “Three’s Company.”

Every fan of “Three’s Company” knows that Jack Tripper was somewhat of a ladies man. But not in the way that one would expect. He wasn’t suave or smooth-talking. He was actually a bit of an accident-prone clutz. Nevertheless, there was something about Jack Tripper’s hilarious antics that made him absolutely adorable. For this reason, there were quite a few female characters on the show who attempted to win Jack’s heart. Actress Loni Anderson was one of them, at least for one episode. During the episode titled, “Coffee, Tea, or Jack,” Loni Anderson plays Jack’s old girlfriend, Susan. After leaving him years ago, Susan returns to win him back.

But Chrissy isn’t having it. Not only does she know that Susan’s love won’t last, but she’s also planning a surprise party for Jack back at the apartments. So, she attempts to seduce Jack in order to convince him to come back to the apartments for the surprise party. During this hilarious scene from the episode, Chrissy interrupts a steamy moment between Jack and Susan. She does her best to strut her stuff in a sexy red dress. She attempts to whisper sexily into Jack’s ear and pose like a model. And she even tries to wink at Jack, to which Jack replies, “Is there something in your eye?”

Chrissy ends up knocking both Jack and a waitress over with her antics during this hilarious “Three’s Company” scene.

She even worked as the spokeswoman for the Thighmaster for years. Now, at 74 years old, Somers isn’t slowing down. And she’s certainly not relinquishing her sex appeal. In fact, she says that the spark between her and her longtime husband Alan Hamel is only growing stronger. During a recent interview, Somers shared what life has been like not that her kids are older.

“God, our relationship has always been amazing,” Somers said. “But now that our kids are raised and it’s just me and Al, and we paid for the tuition, we paid for the weddings and helped them get their start — now it’s just us. Man, are we having fun.”
